Below is a (non-definitive) list with links to some of the major reports and papers that have been published with regard to UK government strategy, particularly those relating to information technology. - Analysis of the impact of open source software. Published October 2001.
- Privacy and data-sharing: The way forward for public services. April 2002, (PDF).
- OPEN SOURCE SOFTWARE USE WITHIN UK GOVERNMENT. Version 1, published in July 2002 (PDF).
- Policy Framework for a mixed economy in the supply of e-government services. A consultation document from May 2003, setting out how trusted third parties and intermediaries would be a key part of online services delivery.
- Efficient, effective and electronic. Ian Watmore’s vision on taking office as CIO, a role to which he was appointed in September 2004 (RTF).
- OPEN SOURCE SOFTWARE Use within UK Government. Version 2, published October 2004 (PDF).
- e-Government Interoperability Framework Version 6.1. Published in March 2005, this was the latest iteration of the eGIF, a set of interoperability requirements founded in Internet and WWW standards and recommendations.
